Clients often ask for proofreading when what they want/need is copyediting. Proofreading happens after a document or manuscript has been edited. It’s one of the final stages of a project and is vital to producing clean, easily readable documents.

If we determine that proofreading is right for your project, I will check:

  • Word stacks (three or more instances of the same word at the beginning or end of a line) and hyphen stacks (three or more consecutive lines ending with a hyphen)
